Anthony Cacace: From the Small Hall to the Biggest Stage

Belfast Boxer Retains IBO Super-Featherweight Title

Anthony Cacace has endured an up-and-down career, but on Saturday night, he stood tall on the biggest stage boxing has seen in quite some time.

Cacace, 33, retained his IBO super-featherweight title with a unanimous decision victory over Sam Bowen at the SSE Arena in Belfast.

It was a hard-fought battle, but Cacace was simply too strong and too skilled for his opponent. He landed the cleaner punches throughout the fight and never looked in danger of losing.

The win was a major triumph for Cacace, who has now won 21 of his 22 professional fights. It also marked a return to form for the Belfast fighter, who had lost two of his previous three bouts.

In the post-fight interview, Cacace said that he was "over the moon" with the win. He also dedicated the victory to his late father, who passed away in 2020.

Cacace's win is a reminder that anything is possible in boxing. Even after suffering setbacks, it is always possible to come back and achieve your dreams.
